Moving Out To University!

If you're moving to university, congratulations! This is an exciting time in your life. But it can also be a bit daunting, especially if you're doing this for the first time and you've never lived away from home before!

One of the most important things to do when moving to university is to pack properly. It’s also a good idea to not leave packing until the last minute! This way you’ll make sure you haven’t forgotten anything, and your belongings stay nice and secure for the journey. This also means having all the right materials and supplies to hand – that’s where Direct Global Trading Boxes comes in!

First of all, you'll need cardboard boxes. These are essential for packing up all your belongings safely and securely. Once you have all your supplies, it's time to start packing up your belongings! Start with the things you won't need straight away, such as winter clothes or books that you haven't read yet, and place these at the bottom of the boxes. Then work your way to items you know you will need straight away e.g. toiletries, your favourite clothes, bedding, chargers and any documentation you might need when you arrive.

If possible, try to pack heavier items into smaller boxes too, so you're not tempted to pack too much into them, and that they're not too heavy to carry. Make sure to label all your boxes so you know what's inside them. Packing paper is another useful item to have, as it can help to protect your belongings and keep them safe during the move. This is particularly useful for fragile items such as photo frames, plates and drinking glasses. Once you've packed up all your belongings, it's time to move them into your new university accommodation. If you're hiring a van, make sure you book this in advance so you can get the best price. And if you're moving everything by car, don't forget to pack a blanket or two to protect your things from getting damaged during the journey.
