90% of households in the UK now consider recycling as an established norm, which we think is great, and we’ve come a long way since the Household Waste Recycling Act became the law in 2003. Here at Direct Global Trading Boxes, we believe in being proactive on environmental issues, to help do our bit for the planet. That’s why our boxes are as environmentally friendly as they can be!

According to online statistics, 52% of us recycle more than we did a year ago and as a country, we recycle around 80% of paper and cardboard each year. This figure could be increased even still, if we ensured we recycled every piece of paper and cardboard packaging, including your Direct Global Trading boxes once they are finished with.

All our cardboard box products are made from 100% recycled materials, and as they are made from strong and durable materials, they can be reused again and again. That’s why we encourage after they have been used for your house move, that you use them for storage in the home or office, or offer them to a family or friend who may be able to use for their upcoming move too! Once the boxes really have come to the end of their life, we ask that our boxes are recycled responsibly, to be part of the recycling process once again.

We have very close partnerships with our suppliers who use advanced technology to identify and remove unnecessary waste and material in the manufacturing process. We are also proud to offer cardboard products that are made just down the road from us in Yorkshire, helping to reduce our carbon footprint! We also use couriers that are committed to reducing their carbon omissions too.

On our boxes you’ll spot the FSC logo, indicating that our products are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). The FSC system allows us as a business and you as a consumer to identify, purchase and use paper and cardboard that is made with materials from well-managed forests and recycled sources.
